The Women in International Affairs Network (WIAN) is a digital platform disrupting the way society talks about gender, youth equality and career development in the international sector. We’re a social enterprise, and act as a resource hub and mentoring initiative for the next generation of female professionals pursuing a career in international affairs.
As an international career network, we aim to break down many of the barriers women face when pursuing international opportunities. Lack of support, access to opportunities and mentorship has a lasting impact on entry level candidates, and continues well into a woman’s career, with women not receiving adequate support on how to progress, achieve balance and navigate their careers into the mid and senior level. International career opportunities are increasingly competitive, and there is much to be done to increase the diversity and representation of entry-level women, mid-to-senior professionals and candidates from underrepresented regions and geographies.
Whether you’re an entry-level graduate, or senior manager, or looking to build a career in development, human rights or foreign policy, our programmes, resources and tailored career and lifestyle content will help you on your way.
