Home Girls Unite is a platform that provides a safe space for eldest immigrant daughters, both on and offline. Home Girls is run by Hanna and Yasin, two eldest daughters, who found themselves struggling with the daily responsibilities of being in an immigrant household and saw a gap in the market to provide support for fellow immigrant daughters.
Some of the ways in which we achieve this is by holding monthly events that focus on specific topics that we deem necessary in order to help the women on our platform learn and grow. Some of the events have been based around subjects such as tough love, mindfulness, self-care and more. We also produce a weekly podcast, which tackles different subject matters and all points going back to how it affects us as eldest daughters.
We aim to empower these women, who were forced to become adults before their time, to put themselves first and start taking the necessary steps to take back control of their own lives. Our ultimate goal is to reach as many daughters as possible and help them achieve their personal goals.
