Blessing Mukosha Park is a multifaceted future Barrister, with her eyes on both the Law and Digital Media. A Futurist, she is passionate about the ways the Bar can adapt to modern technology and digital communication methods. In August 2017 she created ‘Blessing at the Bar’, an online platform for aspiring Barristers which is just one of multiple online platforms she uses to engage with people from all around the world.
Blessing at the Bar is both an online journal of a future Barrister and resource for student Barristers in England. Blessing began by sharing her candid recollections in-between the GDL, BPTC and acting as Director of a Pro Bono Advocacy organisation and volunteering at Advocate (formerly the Bar Pro Bono Unit) before focusing on practical resources and advice for Bar Course Students after being called to the Bar in December 2019.
As well as being active on Instagram, Youtube, Twitter and Podcasting platforms, Blessing at the Bar also hosts Workshops for aspiring Barristers focusing on practical skills, personal development and professional branding. By allowing a candid insight into her journey to become a happy and successful Barrister, Blessing engages with many others who are either on her path, have started practising or have yet to do either.
In the rare moments that she is not either completing Legal work, creating digital content or hosting a Live stream or event, she works as part of the Bridging the Bar Committee, a Charity sponsored by England’s leading Barristers’ Chambers to open up work experience schemes for students from underrepresented backgrounds. Equality of access to the Bar is fundamental and Blessing wants to be part of a profession that not only accepts but also embraces the diverse legal talent attempting to practise Law.
